My name is Deb Pochardt and I own and operate Debs Child Care. I am licensed by and located in Boise, ID. I have been caring for children since 1996 and it has truly been a privilege and a pleasure to care for children and be a part of their lives.
Debs Child Care will provide a safe, clean and comfortable environment for all children where they will receive loving care, play and learn with positive guidance.
Debs Child Care provides an inclusive child care environment where children with varying abilities are all welcome. I strive to ensure all children are offered care that promotes their physical, social, emotional and intellectual development through developmentally appropriate activities. I will assist and encourage each child’s abilities and skills throughout each stage of their development. I believe family involvement is essential to quality childcare and I welcome and encourage your participation.
Children who have physical, mental, developmental or emotional disabilities will be included in Debs Child Care. Modification within the means of the program will be made as necessary so that each child may benefit from the program and the care provided. Recognizing that each child is unique and has their own strengths, it is my goal to provide for the needs of each child, with respect to their individuality. To the best of my ability, I will utilize all relevant community resources and means available o accomplish this.
If your child has a special need, please provide me with written instructions for providing special therapy, an individualized program of instruction or behavior guidance. These instructions may come from you, a physician, a therapist or another qualified person.

I am committed to serve all children in the families primary language. English is the primary language spoken at Debs Child Care. If you speak another language, please teach me words and phrases to help me communicate better with your child. If you would like , I can either help to connect families with a translation service or I will provide you with resources to locate another facility (if available) in which your primary language is spoken. It is important for children who are learning English as a second language to maintain their first language at the same time they are learning English.

I am a member of Idaho AEYC(Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children), ICARE (Idaho Childcare Association Reaching for Excellence), NAFCC(National Association for Family Child Care), NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children).
I was recently awarded an IdahoSTARS Accreditation Mini-grant to pay for the accreditation fees. Therefore I will begin working on accreditation through NAFCCC (National Association for Family Child Care.
